We borrow the earth

Take a moment and think about what you can do today to take care of the earth so our children and children’s children can enjoy an earth where we take much for granted today.

Take a moment to think of the legacy we will leave them. Then take a moment to think about this quote...

We don't inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.
― David Brower

Think of this analogy... When you borrow something from someone, you think of keeping it in good condition so when you return it, it can still be of use. You do not want to return something that you broke or damaged.

In much the same way, take care of the earth so when we leave it, our children will be able to use and appreciate it for generations to come.

By doing the best job possible with our place on earth we are showing respect both to it and to its future residents. By being stewards of the earth and it’s resources, we are protecting it. We are sustaining the earth and protecting it so future generations will able to use.

...and some more quotes to inspire you to continue protecting and sustaining the earth!

I would like my kids to inherit a world where people succeed because of merit and hard work, not entitlement, and where people accept others for what they are and not try to change them.
Guy Kawasaki
You cannot protect the environment unless you empower people, you inform them, and you help them understand that these resources are their own, that they must protect them.
—Wangari Maathai
The single biggest threat to our planet is the destruction of habitat and along the way loss of precious wildlife. We need to reach a balance where people, habitat, and wildlife can co-exist – if we don’t everyone loses … one day.
—Steve Irwin
A nation that destroys its soils destroys itself. Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people.
—Franklin D. Roosevelt
We live in a culture where people are more offended by ‘swear’ words and middle fingers than they are by famine, warfare and the destruction of our environment.
—Unknown
