You are good enough

Job searching can be time consuming, frustrating and down-heartening all at the same time.

When asked to attend an interview, it gives one hope that just maybe, this will be the time that you land that job.

However, many a time, after you have gone for that promising interview, you wait and wait... There is no message, not call, no email, to let you know what comes next.

Then you start thinking, I need to keep looking because I don't think they're going to call me for that job.

Once a candidate gives of their time to be interviewed. They deserve feedback. No excuses! Don't leave candidates hanging. Grant them closure.

While it is true that for one job advertised, there may be more than 100 applicants, the persons who did not receive the job offer also need to to be treated with dignity and respect. Closure provides that.

With today's technology, an automated template email could be sent to let persons who were not successful know that the position has been filled. A quick text message or call can also work. The interviewers never knows when they will be the interviewees and on the other side and a simple courtesy can go a long way to encourage someone to keep on trying.

For those job seekers out there, be motivated to keep trying. Keep your spirits up. And remember...

Rejection does not mean you aren't good enough. It just means the other person failed to realize what you have to offer.

Good luck with that job search. May success be yours!
